Requirement of age for various posts is as follows:

  • For posts with age limit 18-27 years: Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1999 and not later than 01-08-2008.
  • For posts with age limit 20-30 years: Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1996 and not later than 01-08-2006.
  • For posts with age limit 18-30 years: Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-08-1996 and not later than 01-08-2008.

📝 Education Qualification

Essential Educational Qualifications (As on 01.08.2026):

Assistant Audit Officer (Central Cadre):

  • Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.

Assistant Audit Officer (State Cadre):

  • Essential Qualifications:
    1. Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
    2. Proficiency in the Regional/official language of the State, i.e. ability to read, write, speak and understand the language with proficiency at matriculation level. Candidates must possess a certificate of proficiency in the Regional/official language of the State concerned at the level of Secondary School Examination from a recognised State/Central Board of Education.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.

Junior Statistical Officer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level; OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

Statistical Investigator Grade-II:

  • Bachelor degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Demography or Population Studies or Operation Research or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Technology or Computer Application or Data Science or Artificial Intelligence from a recognized University or recognized Institute.

All other Posts:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

Note: The candidates who have appeared in their final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification as on 01.08.2026.

📝 How to Apply
  1. Applications must be submitted online through the new SSC website (https://ssc.gov.in) or the My SSC mobile application.
  2. Candidates must first complete a One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC website. Previous OTRs from ssc.nic.in are not valid.
  3. For OTR, have your mobile number (for OTP), email ID (for OTP), Aadhaar Card Number (or other ID proof like Voter ID, PAN, Passport, Driving License, School/College ID, Employer ID), Matriculation (10th Class) Examination Board details (Roll Number, Year of Passing), and Disability Certificate Number (if applicable) ready.
  4. During OTR, candidates have the option for Aadhaar Based Authentication. If not using Aadhaar, specific documents for proof of Name, Date of Birth, Address, Photograph, and Gender must be uploaded. Visually Handicapped (VH) candidates are exempt from Aadhaar Face Authentication and can use Aadhaar OTP.
  5. After OTR, log in with your Registration Number and password to fill the online application form.
  6. Candidates are required to capture a live photograph using a webcam/mobile device within the application module. Do not upload pre-existing photographs. The photo should have good light, plain background, camera at eye level, full frontal view, and without cap, mask, or spectacles. Applications with blurred/inappropriate photographs or signatures will be rejected, unless Aadhaar Based Authentication was used.
  7. Upload scanned signature in JPEG/JPG format (10-20 KB), with dimensions of 6.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height). Blurred/miniature signatures will be rejected.
  8. Fill in your highest educational qualification and details of the "qualifying" educational qualification.
  9. Select your preference for Examination Centers (three choices within the same Region, in order of priority).
  10. Indicate if you are serving in the Armed Forces or are an Ex-serviceman.
  11. If seeking age relaxation, select the appropriate age-relaxation category.
  12. The application fee is ₹100/-. Women candidates, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) are exempted from fee payment.
  13. Fee payment can be made online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards. The last date for online fee payment is 23.06.2026 (23:00 hours).
  14. A Window for Application Form Correction will be available from 29.06.2026 to 01.07.2026 (23:00 hours) for 3 days. Correction charges apply: ₹200 for the first correction, ₹500 for the second correction (applicable to all candidates irrespective of gender/category).
  15. Before final submission, carefully review all details in the application form and ensure photograph and signature meet requirements. No changes will be allowed after the correction window expires.
  16. Candidates must regularly check the SSC website (https://ssc.gov.in) and the concerned Regional Office website for updates.
  17. At the time of examination, carry your Admission Certificate, two passport size recent colour photographs, and an original valid Photo-ID proof (e.g., Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Driving License, Passport). If the Photo-ID does not have the Date of Birth printed, carry an additional original certificate for DoB proof.
  18. Submit post preferences through the Online Option Form on the SSC website before the declaration of the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA)/result. Options submitted are final and irreversible.
  19. Candidates with benchmark disabilities availing scribe facility must carry a Medical Certificate/Undertaking and the scribe s Photo ID proof.
  20. Only one online application is allowed. Multiple applications will lead to rejection of all applications.
  21. Ensure that your Name, Father’s name, Mother’s name, Date of Birth (DoB), Matriculation Examination details are filled exactly as recorded in the Matriculation (10th Class) certificate to avoid cancellation of candidature.
