Fee can be paid only through online payment modes, namely BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, Master, Maestro Card, or RuPay Debit card.

👤 Age Limit & Eligibility

The crucial date for age reckoning is fixed as 01-01-2026. The age of the candidate must be 18-23 years as on 01-01-2026 (i.e., candidates born not before 02-01-2003 and not later than 01-01-2008).

Permissible relaxations in upper age limit for different categories are as under:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the date of reckoning.
  • Children and dependents of victims killed in the 1984 riots (Unreserved/ EWS): 5 years
  • Children and dependents of victims killed in the 1984 riots (OBC): 8 years
  • Children and dependents of victims killed in the 1984 riots (SC/ST): 10 years
📝 Education Qualification

Candidates must have passed the Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University as on or before the cut-off date i.e., 01-01-2026.

Incentive to NCC Certificate Holders:

  • NCC C Certificate: 5% of the maximum marks of the Examination
  • NCC B Certificate: 3% of the maximum marks of the Examination
  • NCC A Certificate: 2% of the maximum marks of the Examination

The benefit of incentive/bonus marks will only be provided to a candidate who has opted for incentive/ bonus marks for an ‘NCC certificate in the Online Application Form and produces the original certificate at the time of Document Verification. This benefit is not available for Ex-Servicemen.

Chest measurements for female candidates will not be taken. However, it will be ascertained that the chest is well-developed.

Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PET/PST but will have to appear for recording of measurement of height, chest and weight for record purposes and qualify the Medical Examination.

📝 How to Apply
  • All candidates must complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website of the Commission (https://ssc.gov.in). OTR generated on the old website (https://ssc.nic.in) will not be functional.
  • After OTR, candidates can fill the Online Application Form for the examination.
  • Application Forms must be submitted only in online mode, either at the website of SSC (HQ) (https://ssc.gov.in) or through the ‘mySSC’ mobile application (downloadable from Google Play Store).
  • Candidates are advised to opt for Aadhaar Based Authentication during OTR. Candidates opting for Aadhaar Authentication will not be rejected for photograph and/or signature not being as per prescribed standards and will not be required to produce recent colour photographs or original valid Photo-Identity proof at the examination venue.
  • The Online Application Module is designed to capture a real-time photograph of the candidate. Candidates must follow these instructions while capturing the photograph:
    • Find a place with good light and a plain background.
    • Ensure the camera is at eye level before taking the photo.
    • Position yourself directly in front of the camera and look straight ahead.
    • Ensure that your face is fully inside the prescribed area delineated by the camera and that it is neither too close nor too far. It should cover the area fully, and no part of the face should be outside the area delineated by the camera.
    • Candidates shouldn t wear a cap, mask or glasses/ spectacles while capturing the photo.
    • Pre-existing photographs are not allowed and will lead to rejection.
  • Candidates are required to upload a scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB).
    • Image dimension: about 6.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height).
    • Signature should be horizontally aligned.
    • Blurred/miniature signatures will be rejected summarily.
  • The last date and time for submission of the Online Application Form is 31.12.2025 (23:00 hours).
  • Candidates are advised to submit the Online Application Form much before the closing date to avoid last-minute issues.
  • A ‘Window for Online Application Form Correction’ will be available from 08.01.2026 to 10.01.2026 (23:00), allowing two attempts for correction with applicable charges (₹200 for first time, ₹500 for second time).
  • Candidates must carefully fill in all details, especially name, father s name, mother s name, date of birth, and matriculation examination details, exactly as recorded in their matriculation certificate.
  • Candidates must provide correct and active e-mail addresses and mobile numbers for communication.
  • It is mandatory to give preferences for all seven CAPFs/ Organizations in order of priority when filling the Online Application Form. No request for change in preference will be entertained thereafter.
